Health and Photography

It is my hope that what I have been writing about on this blog can and will benefit you in regards to health and getting better photos.  There is a young woman who went to health for much the same reasons I did, and she has become quite an internet sensation, not to mention she has written a best selling book about it.  I'm mentioning her because you can learn a lot of what I learned over the years by going to her site.  Here is a video by Vani Hari aka the FoodBabe:  Video with Before and After Images  -  Briefly stop the video where it shows her before her change.  Then watch the rest of the video - hard to believe it's the same person.

Being healthy not only makes you feel better (especially if you are sick and tired of being sick and tired), but you will look the way you may have never believed you could look.  As many of you may have noticed, I enjoy shooting photos of beautiful women - you may have guessed that when I posted all those bikini contests this past Summer.  I also enjoy health, which means eating healthy and taking the right supplements.  Plus I enjoy shooting beauty in general, such as sunsets, rainbows, the ocean and beaches, flowers, etc.  But with women, it's special, because hopefully through my photography they can feel better about how they look, be more beautiful than they thought they were, and thus feel more confident and empowered in their lives.  And with better nutrition they (and pretty much everyone) can not only look better, but feel better, and that would be totally wonderful.

I take a lot of photos at Venice Beach, CA.  These days it's mostly in and around the paddle tennis court area, Muscle Beach, and that general area.  It seems everyone out at Venice Beach passes by those areas sooner or later.  In fact, here are two recent candid shots:

I may start a series here called, "As I See It."  Here is the first installment.  I just read an interview with Dr. Suzanne Humphries, M.D., author of "Dissolving Illusions:  Disease, Vaccines, and the Forgotten History."  In it, she said something similar to what I had been thinking about with vaccines and autism and other diseases and that is this:  that each toxin we get injected into us (such as mercury, aluminum, MSG, etc. from vaccines) and are exposed to (such as glyphosate in Roundup, and other pesticides), our mercury fillings, other environmental toxins, etc., all contribute to the problems we see affecting us these days.  Although amounts may be small in vaccines, it may be it's just enough to push some people over the edge into disease or autism, etc.  So although each toxin on its own may or may not be enough to cause a problem, when taken with all the other toxins, our bodies are overwhelmed.  So when they do a study on just one toxin, it is basically taken out of context and may well be meaningless.  And if the study is done by the companies that are selling the product, or are making a profit from it, it becomes even more meaningless.  Something to think about.
