I am currently in the planning stages, adding new things that I will be offering. The latest, and one that most people really enjoy, is adding video slideshows. There are several options as far as format goes; probably the easiest, and one that takes up the smallest space is to create an executable file. Don't know yet if I can post that here. There are also .mpg or .mpeg files, which seem like the largest files, also windows media files (.wmv), flash files (.flv) which will most likely be the one here, and .avi files. Each web host has different options available. However, for you, should you hire me for your photography (weddings, portraits, etc.) you can have your choice, which would be put on a CD/DVD. Each video has its own benefits - some you can browse for specific photos and see a much larger size image, others have different transitional effect from one photo to the next, etc. Music can also be added to most of them. However, because of copyright laws, this will be limited to only certain songs and artists that are royalty free. Feel free to ask questions about this. Depending on the music, the length of the slideshow can be made to match the length of the musical selection.
If you would like to record some narration about the two of you, that can also be added to the slideshow. I am posting here one sample slideshow - due to the time it takes to upload to this site I have used a smaller file size, so the full screen quality will not be quite as good as what you would get on CD, which will look just as good as the regular size here, but in full screen mode. In the next post, I will see if I can upload a video of just a few images at a higher resolution so you can see it at full screen.
Above is a sample of one of the many options available for creating a video. It is made up of photos I did at a few different weddings several years ago, and which were taken with a Nikon film camera. Some of the film has faded or shifted colors over time, so there may be some artifacts in some pictures from this. I now use digital only, so there is no possibility of this problem in the future.
Although I only guarantee that I will keep an archive of your photos for a year, recently I had someone find me after 27 years who had lost all her photos, and I still had about 90% of them saved and was able to give her a CD of all those images.
